It took a little trial and error to find a good method for making these bows. I originally planned to turn them into earrings but I decided they work better as necklace pendants. 🎀

This heart is the first pendant I cut using a jeweler’s saw; per my instructor’s advice I made the pattern a little larger to make it easier to cut out. I’ve been working on my sawing skills the past couple weeks. They’re slowly getting better! I made a smaller version of the heart but I haven’t set the stone yet. What color should I use? Comment below 👇 Thanks!

I’m so excited to share the latest project from my metalsmithing class. I learned so much making this pendant. I created it from a sheet of sterling silver and the little accent stone is pink tourmaline.
There are big changes in store for Havana’s Heyday! If you’ve been following along in stories, you can probably guess. 😉

I finished the first project in my metalsmithing class yesterday! It’s hard to believe this cuff started out as a copper pipe. I’m very excited about what I’m learning to create next - a thin sterling silver cuff with a small stone accent. Stay tuned! . . . .

Check out this beautiful ring I found at a local antique shop! It’s sterling silver with copper turquoise. Copper turquoise is actually a manufactured stone created by crushing turquoise and then reforming it using copper which produces the beautiful metallic veining.
I’ve always been a sucker for turquoise and sterling silver jewelry. It’s what inspired me to take a metalsmithing class. I’ve only had one class but I love it so far. I hope to offer my silver loving gals custom pieces in the near future! . . . . .
